Older Infants

Our older infant classroom is set up for exploration and play! This is an exciting age for parents and our older infant staff. This room provides more space for older infants to crawl, climb, and take those first “wobbly” steps. There are many surfaces for children to pull up and move around. Teachers enjoy music and movement activities, teaching basic signs, story time, and special outdoor time. They will also begin the first transition for children from crib to cot and from two naps to one nap during the day. Students are encouraged to “use their words” to express themselves. Our toddler playground was designed just for this age group. It features smaller playground equipment and very few “blind spots” for teachers. Our older infant lead teachers develop lesson plans based on The Georgia Early Learning Development Standards for children 12 - 24 months.
