Treehouse Early Assessment & Screening Process…
The Learning Treeouse works hard to ensure that we provide the best screening and assessment processes for our children. We understand that early intervention is key in ensuring that our students receive the best care possible in their early years.
Developmental Screenings
The Learning Treehouse is excited to partner with Wee Care Pediatric Therapy to offer in-person speech and
language screenings each new school year. This process is a fun and low-key observation and interaction
with a trained speech and language therapist within your child’s classroom. If your child qualifies, Wee Care will send information
on how to move forward with services.
The Learning Treehouse is also proud to offer The ASQ-3 and SE-2 screening questionnaires for parents.
These in-depth screening tools will allow you the ability to answer questions based on your child’s progress.
The information will be scored and results given to you to take to your pediatrician or do what you like. These
are research-based and widely used developmental screenings for young children and will give you a
comprehensive look at your child’s progress. They also give our teachers a look into what milestones your child
is completing at home so that we can see a whole picture of your child’s progress.
Progress Reports
Each Fall and Spring, you will receive a progress report with detailed information along with a milestone checklist to
ensure you have a great picture of your child's progress at The Treehouse. You'll also have the option to participate in a full screening
using the ASQ-3 and SE-2 programs.
Referral Services
In addition to our early learning screenings, we also partner with Babies Can't Wait services for children under three years old. For children over three years, we
work with the local school system Preschool Intervention program to partner with families and make referrals as needed.
